After using MY Access! for more than five years, my students have settled into the routine. During the school year each class uses the program to complete one writing project every quarter. My eighth graders leave our school with an impressive portfolio of sixteen essays on a variety of topics.

Students say they enjoy using MY Access! because it puts to use the grammar, mechanics, and usage skills they’ve learned. When writing a persuasive composition, they must put into words the opinions they have on the topic. Narrative compositions open their imaginations. They have learned to write to a specific audience. Finally, typing skills are greatly improved.

When grading these essays, after reading the essay and assigning a grade, I enjoy the advantage of seeing the grade the student has earned from using MY Access!. I will continue to use this program in the future because o the many educational benefits it affords my students.
