Representatives from Vantage Learning, a New Jersey-based educational software company, will present the $19,500 grant in a Language Arts classroom at the school.

The grant will allow 750 students to be licensed to use a software program called MY Access! The program allows a student to write an essay, submit the essay via the Internet and get immediate feedback on how to write better.

Teachers can tailor lessons specifically to areas where students need extra help. Students in turn spend more time practicing their writing skills. Media members can see the software program in action at the grant presentation event.
