Ann Arbor Public schools recently purchased additional licensing for Vantage Learning’s MY Access, a writing software for K-12 students. With the purchase an additional 5,000 students within the district will gain access to the software. MY Access is designed to track reading and writing competency using AI technology and a rubric-scoring method to gauge student progress.
“The fun, inspirational program gives everyone the opportunity to make a difference, whether you’re the student building new writing skills, the teacher enhancing the classroom environment or the volunteer helping kids with their homework,” said Wendy Correll, executive director of Ann Arbor Publics Schools Educational Foundation.
Ann Arbor schools piloted the writing software in 2004. Furthering the company and district’s partnership, Vantage will train 15 teachers in the Ann Arbor District on the MY Access program.
Since 2004, the district’s educational foundation has run a literacy campaign and has allocated $50,000 in funds for the campaign. Ann Arbor School District, located in Michigan, has 16,974 students currently enrolled.
